David S. Zelouf, M.D.


Dr. David S. Zelouf David Zelouf, M.D. was attracted by The Hand Centers' world class reputation. As a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, with a Sub-Specialty Certification in Surgery of the Hand, Dr. Zelouf joins the other physicians of The Hand Center in diagnosing and rendering treatment for conditions, injuries and diseases relative to the hand, wrist, arm and elbow.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Zelouf received his B.A. from State University of New York at Binghamton, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his M.D. degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Zelouf was appointed Administrative Chief Resident during his residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute. He was also granted the Anatomy Teaching Award and Senior Resident Research Award. He completed his postgraduate fellowship in hand, wrist, elbow, and microsurgery at Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts. After completing his training, Dr. Zelouf spent four years in Richmond, Virginia in private practice of hand, wrist and elbow surgery.

Dr. Zelouf’s faculty appointments have included the New England Medical Center and Medical College of Virginia. The many professional societies of which Dr. Zelouf is a member include the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Zelouf promotes the advancement of clinical treatment and surgery of the hand through his many national and local presentations, medical journal publications, and textbook chapters.
